Chalice Bearers

There are six licensed chalice bearer in Trinity who help with communion. Every Sunday one chalice bearer serves at the eight o'clock service and two help with the 10:30 service.

The responsibility of the chalice bearer is to serve wine at the communion and if the bearer is also an acolyte that day to serve the priest during the consecration of the elements. One of the bearers is also responsible for reading the prayers of the people following the sermon.

Chalice bearers also help out during funerals and weddings when necessary.
